Lecturer, Captain Bill Fry of Pinpoint Aviation Solutions (2nd from left) with Air Safety Investigators from Kuwait, Nigeria, Macau, Singapore, the UAE and Taiwan and the Head of the School of Security and Safety at the Singapore Aviation Academy Mr HUEI WANG KANG (CAAS) (far right).
Captain Bill Fry lectured at the Singapore Aviation Academy in August to a team of skilled Air Safety Investigators from around the globe. The intensive course covered the exacting requirements of Air Safety Report writing to the Standards set by the International Civil Aviation Authority (ICAO). The students returned to the home countries with the requisite knowledge and skills to produce effective and timely air safety accident reports.
Captain Bill Fry – Leads an inspection team from the Ministry of Defence and the Civil Aviation Authority on a site inspection of a proposed aerodrome at a remote location in Central Africa.
Pinpoint Aviation Solutions', Captain Bill Fry, is involved in the design and construction of a new aerodrome in Central Africa.
The aerodrome will serve a new large scale mining development in this remote jungle location. Rough, poorly maintained roads that made transit times unacceptable for rapid personnel turnaround necessitated the construction of a purpose-built, all-weather aerodrome to serve the mine requirements for FIFO (Fly In Fly Out) operation. In addition, the instrument approach equipped aerodrome was essential to cater for potential medevac requirements and will significantly enhance aviation safety in the region.
